Our Children’s Ministry is designed to create a loving and safe atmosphere for children ages birth to sixth grade. Our primary goal is to introduce youngsters to a life-changing relationship with Christ. We want families to know that their children will be cared for by adults who love them and want what is best for them. With this foundation in their lives, we believe that they will have the strength and support to face all of life’s many challenges as they grow. Other goals for our ministry include teaching them moral values, christian character, and from that, a willingness to serve others. With this in mind, our programs are designed to bless and strengthen families in our community by serving their children.

In order to maintain a safe and loving environment, parents are encouraged to participate with their children and observe our programs as often as they like. A mandatory criminal background check is necessary in order to participate as a program volunteer which helps to insure the safety of our participants.

The safety and welfare of children is important to us. To help ensure that the children and youth who attend are our church are ministered in a safe and loving enviroment, we are instituting a Child Protection Program. All adults who work with minors will be required to go through a screening process prior to working with children or youth. The screening process includes an application, references, personal interview, and background check. Children's and youth workers will also be asked to follow some fundamental procedures to maintain the safety of our children and youth during all ministry events. Children’s Church ministers to children ages 3-12 during the 11 a.m. service. We have separate classes for these age groups: 3-5 years, 6-8 years and 9-12 years. We teach children the Word of God in a fun setting using puppets, stories, games, and crafts to help them have a deeper relationship with Christ.

Children’s Sunday School is held at the same time as the adult classes. Our Sunday School is designed to be a safe and encouraging environment where children can experience God’s love with hands on activities and learning. The children are encouraged to move around and explore God’s truth as their teachers unfold the treasures of God’s Word in the Bible. Each class is focused on the children by having age appropriate curriculum, hands on activities and creating an environment where it is fun to learn. The curriculum is carefully designed and followed to make sure that our children are taught the foundational truths of Scripture as they grow and change. We hope that you will come and join us from 9:45-10:45am on Sunday mornings!

During our 11:00 Blended Service, we have a staffed nursery with a pager system available for children under 3. If you need a quiet place to feed your infant or to quiet your child, a cry room is available off the front foyer.

Our highly interactive Vacation Bible School is held during the summer. In the past three years we have visited Jerusalem, Rome, and Egypt where the children have had the opportunity to talk with adults and teens dressed in authentic costumes. They have visited Paul in prison, and watched as Joseph went from a prisoner to the second highest in command in Egypt. Throughout their time together the children visit the marketplace where they have the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning experiences, play games, and learn about life in Bible times.
